Keep these toiletries in your carry-on, NOT your checked-in bag.
Anything can happen with flight delays, cancellations, or even if you decide to take a voucher by volunteering to take another flight.
The first five suggestions are basic hygiene essentials to freshen up during a layover or delays.

Index
1. Toothbrush & Toothpaste
I own the Oral-B 7000. Since then, there have been newer versions produced.
2. Dry Shampoo
These two and OGX are usually my go-to brands from dry shampoo. However, I'm not a fan of waste. Does anyone have a favorite dry shampoo that uses zero waste or eco-friendly materials?
3. Makeup Remover Wipes
Kirkland, Burts Bees, and CeraVe are some of the brands I use when choosing makeup wipes.
However, I will be trying the biodegradable options on my next purchase.
I have not tried these below but they have excellent ratings and are a good biodegradable eco-friendly option:
4. Deodorant
5. Comb (Takes up less space vs a hairbrush)
Other necessities that can be easy to forget:
6. Basic First Aid Kit
At the very least, I would highly recommend having blister bandaids (affiliate link) in your carry-on, especially if you will be walking a lot on your trip. There have been many times I've been so grateful to remember that I packed these on hikes. They add a bit of cushion to make it more comfortable.
7. Duct Tape
Believe me; anything can happen when you travel, and you'll be glad about keeping duct tape on hand one day. However, it's best to keep items compact, especially if it's not part of your daily routine.
8. Collapsible, Packable Tote
A packable tote is perfect for carrying any food, snacks, and those last-minute souvenirs.
9. Packable Jacket
Is there anything more unpredictable than the in-flight cabin temperature? So keep a "packable" jacket on hand for those chilly flights.
10. Notebook & Pen
The notebook I use was one purchased from the airport. I would just recommend one that has a strap to keep it closed and the pages protected. Use your time at the airport to write down those memories while they are still fresh.
The Sharpie Gel Pens are all I've used while finishing up school this past year.
11. An Extra Pair of Clothes
As much as I love my Lululemon Align pants, they tend to get a bit pilled up with time. The CRZ Yoga Brand is a great and more affordable alternative. I own at least three pairs of leggings posted below. For Tops, I recommend something loose and breathable.
An extra pair of clothes is vital, mainly if you choose to pack most of your clothing into checked-in luggage.
12. Charging Block, Charging Cords, Travel adapters, and USB plugs
It's not enough to have your charging cord and plug on hand; you need to have a charging block (charged and ready) as well. I've had seats with outlets that don't work, charge too slow, or have no outlet at all.
13. Disinfecting wipes
Check out these biodegradable options below:
14. Body Wipes
Biodegradable options:
If you don't have access to a members lounge with showers, body wipes are a g-haul necessity for those long-haul flights.
